Fall is Coming

I’ve hung up a seed bell by the finch feeder, and it’s had a visitor.

This may be a male whose vivid yellow has started to fade.

One more!

A white-breasted nuthatch also likes the bell.

Meanwhile, this female goldfinch, her feathers much faded, has stopped at the feeder.

The crest feathers of this female cardinal are growing back in, and she’s looking much better than before.

A purple finch stops by, as well.

Fall is coming!

Robins don’t show up at the feeder because they like worms, not seeds.

And I’m getting ready for a staff holiday craft show, embroidering, knitting, making paper weights. This is the part of Christmas I love! Hope your week is a good one. Namaste. Fran
