A Squirrel’s Tale/Tail

I’ve always enjoyed the antics of the squirrels in our garden, but I never thought of them as beautiful, exactly. But yesterday, in the  morning’s light, I saw this squirrel burrowing for sunflower seeds, and couldn’t resist running for my camera. It was like he was carrying his own halo.

  1. Beautiful!! Low morning or evening sun is God’s “track lighting” for His creation art. Just look at the squirrel’s backlit ears, too; and, the color gradations in the leaves! Great job capturing this, Fran. Thanks!

  2. You have such a great eye for light and beauty. I love squirrels, even if there are people who call them varmints. No squirrel ever shot up a mall food court….

  3. I absolutely adore your blog! Also, what kind of camera do you have? I’m curious as you can capture details in your pics.

  4. Thank you so much, Joy. I have a Canon SX40. It’s a so-called “hybrid” between point-and-shoot cameras and DSLRs. It has a telephoto lens, and that’s how it captures details. Thanks again. Fran
